Hyderabad, June 29 (Namaste Telangana): National BC Commission Chairman Hansraj Gangaram Ahir has urged the Central Government to immediately implement social and economic reservation for BC and OBC communities. Telangana BC Commission Chairman Dr. Vakulabharanam Krishna Mohan Rao issued a statement supporting the demand. They requested that the cream layer limit be increased from Rs. 8 lakhs to Rs. 15 lakhs.

Hansraj visited Haritha Plaza in Begumpet during his tour of Hyderabad on Thursday. He was welcomed with garlands and honored. He discussed the important aspects of BCs and listened for about 20 minutes. He requested the National Commission to recommend that the Central Government take action in the direction of implementing reservation as per the guidelines, as there are reservations in place regarding income limits for non-creamy layers of BCs.

He also urged the Employment Commission to recommend the implementation of the Backlog Methodology in the recruitment of OBCs, as many candidates are not able to obtain permanent positions due to various reasons, including the inclusion of only about 27% reservation in central government jobs for OBCs out of the total 30%.

The Central Government should provide opportunities for about 40 social groups that are not included in the OBC list, as they are eligible for higher opportunities. They should take favorable action in this regard. They also handed over representation letters to Chairman Hansraj. Hansraj explained that the National Commission is making decisions on all matters without any delay in a transparent manner.
