Oakridge International School, Bachupally, recently celebrated its 15th Founder’s Day with great enthusiasm. The event, themed “Chrysalis,” highlighted the school’s transformation over the years and its focus on shaping future leaders. The celebration reflected the school’s core values, including courage, hope, resilience, leadership, and success, which have been instrumental in its growth as a leading educational institution.
The festivities kicked off with vibrant activities such as an energetic flash mob, a colorful carnival parade, and a visual arts exhibition showcasing the creativity of Oakridge students. This was followed by a formal ceremony featuring wonderful performances, including an invocation dance by the younger students from Pre-Nursery to Grade 3.
The evening was filled with memorable performances. Students from Grades 1-3 performed a delightful rendition of The Wizard of Oz musical, while Grades 4-11 presented a harmonious choir performance and an engaging adaptation of The Chalk Circle musical. The celebrations concluded with a heartwarming grand finale, leaving the audience inspired and proud.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Ms. P. Yogeeswari, Senior Professor and Dean of Administration at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad; Mr. Gadi Praveen Kumar, Deputy Solicitor General of India for Telangana State; Mr. Ravi Prakash, Vice President of Digital Marketing at Kapil Group; Mr. Venu Gopal Chepur, Managing Director at Samprad Digital; and Ms. Kiran Aidhi, Founder and CEO of Zuvanish Consulting.
Speaking at the event, Ms. P. Yogeeswari shared her admiration for the school’s dedication to empowerment, stating, “The commitment to nurturing students, teachers, and staff shows how transformation begins with empowering individuals. Principal Ms. Anuradha Varma remarked, “This celebration is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, and parents. Together, we’ve built a legacy that will inspire generations to come.”
Students and parents also shared their thoughts on the milestone. Student Vasu Dev Sahoo, who has grown from a curious Nursery student to a national cricketer and academic achiever, described his journey as one of growth and endless possibilities. A parent, Rene Singh, expressed pride in the school community, saying, “Watching the students perform with such confidence and passion makes me proud to be part of this journey.”
Staff and faculty members also reflected on the school’s growth. Rani Metuku, a long-serving staff member, said, “Oakridge feels like family. It’s been an honor to contribute to its journey.” Performing and Visual Arts Coordinator Mr. Suman Batha added, “These performances represent months of effort and teamwork. Seeing the students bring this vision to life is incredibly rewarding.”
