The Telangana Government has extended the ‘KCR Nutrition Kit’ programme to all 33 districts in the state. The programme aims to improve maternal health by providing essential nutrients to pregnant women, reducing anemia, and increasing hemoglobin levels. The kit includes nutrition mix powder, dates, iron syrup, ghee, a cup, Pallipatti, and a plastic basket.
The programme was launched in nine districts in December 2022 and has now been expanded to all districts. The Finance Minister expressed gratitude to CM KCR for focusing on maternity and childcare and said the nutrition kits would be a boon for pregnant women.
The programme also aims to reduce maternal mortality rates, which have already seen a significant decrease in Telangana. The government has implemented various measures, such as four ANC checkups, KCR kits, Amma Oddi Vehicles, and the establishment of Mata Shishu Care Centres, to protect the maternal system in the state.
The Telangana government is committed to improving maternal and childcare and ensuring the well-being of all citizens.
