Singapore: The Telangana Cultural Society (TCSS) in Singapore has organized the Bonalu festival for the second time in Singapore. This year, the Singapore Bonalu festival was celebrated at Sri Arasakesari Shivan Temple on July 9. Members of the society have informed that the festival is being conducted in Singapore on the same day as the Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu in Bhagyanagar.
According to coordinators, the Bonalu Jatara will be held from 12:30 PM to 6 PM this year. They also mentioned that not only Telugu people residing in Singapore but also other communities are participating in this festival along with Telugu people. The Telangana Cultural Society has taken this step to introduce the significance of this festival to people in Singapore.

Telangana ministers G Jagadish Reddy, V Srinivas Goud, and Telangana Pranalika Sangham Chairman Boynapalli Vinod Kumar have attended the event organized by the Telangana community in Singapore. They applauded everyone for participating actively in the Bonalu festivities and urged them to make it a grand success. In this context, TCSS mentioned that they successfully organized the Bonalu festival in 2017 and have been conducting it every year since then, gaining recognition for the festival in Singapore.
The Telangana Cultural Society has been actively promoting Telugu culture and traditions in Singapore through various events and activities. The celebration of festivals like Bonalu not only brings the Telugu community together but also helps in spreading awareness about Telugu culture among other communities residing in Singapore.
