Hyderabad, January 26, 2025: In a decisive move to enforce public access rights, the Hydra task force, under the directives of GHMC, demolished gates and barricades blocking key routes in various localities, including Divyanagar Layout. The removal of these obstructions has opened up critical access roads, bringing much-needed relief to residents and plot owners in the area.

The barricade in Divyanagar Layout had significantly hampered connectivity, cutting off access to surrounding colonies and making travel cumbersome. With its removal, residents now enjoy unrestricted use of the roads, a change that has been widely welcomed. “This is a major relief for everyone here. The roads are finally accessible, and commuting has become much easier,” said a local resident.

As per GHMC norms, colonies are strictly prohibited from blocking access roads with gates, barricades, or walls. Such actions violate public rights and disrupt the flow of traffic, creating unnecessary inconveniences for residents and commuters.

The recent intervention by Hydra has highlighted the importance of maintaining open and accessible roads. Officials have reiterated their commitment to ensuring compliance with GHMC regulations, warning that further violations will face strict action. Residents of affected areas have praised this initiative as a step toward better urban management and equitable access to infrastructure.

The move has not only improved connectivity but also renewed a sense of community in the neighborhood, with unhindered access fostering convenience and mobility for all.
