Police Commissioner Launches Schools for Migrant Workers' Children

In an effort to provide quality education to children of migrant workers, Ramagundam Police Commissioner M Srinivas announced the establishment of special schools called ‘Work Site Schools.’ These schools aim to offer corporate-level education to children living in brick-making units.

The initiative was launched at the Basant Nagar police station in Peddapalli zone, under the Ramagundam police commissionerate range. The decision to start these schools was made after officials observed the tough conditions faced by children of laborers. Instead of letting these children become laborers themselves, the police persuaded brick kiln owners to support their education.

Commissioner Srinivas highlighted that many migrant workers travel thousands of kilometers from their home states to work in brick kilns. Their children accompany them, often growing up without access to education and ending up working in the same kilns. Recognizing this cycle, the police department intervened to provide these children with a better future.

The commissioner also emphasized that the police are committed to supporting this cause. The initiative reflects their dedication to ensuring that every child has access to quality education and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
