New Master Plan in Development to Transform Warangal

Warangal city is set to undergo major development with a comprehensive Master Plan in the works. This plan includes the establishment of a pharma city, IT services, manufacturing units, ecotourism, an airport, and a logistics park. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, the Revenue and District In-charge Minister, shared these plans during the national flag hoisting ceremony on the 78th Independence Day at Fort Warangal.

The government is also focusing on improving the city’s infrastructure. This includes managing stormwater and enhancing the Disaster Response Force. Additionally, the construction of a new bus station and an Rs 80-crore integrated district collectorate complex will be accelerated. The government is also committed to restoring several ancient temples from the Kakatiya era that have been neglected for years.

Efforts are underway to complete the Kaloji Kalakshetram, a multipurpose convention center. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is expected to inaugurate it on September 9, which coincides with the birth anniversary of the poet Kaloji Narayana Rao.

The Kakatiya Mega Textile Park is attracting interest from various entrepreneurs. This interest is largely due to the Chief Minister’s recent visit to the United States to engage with industrialists and promote investment in the region.

The Independence Day event also saw the participation of several notable figures, including Greater Warangal Mayor Gundu Sudharani, MLAs Revuri Prakash Reddy and K R Nagaraju, MLC Baswaraj Saraiah, KUDA chairman E Venkatram Reddy, district collector Satya Sarada, and DCP Ravinder. The district administration honored Freedom Fighters and awarded certificates to the best employees.
