A new High Court building will be built on a 100-acre land in Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad. The Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, has instructed the officials to make arrangements for the foundation stone laying ceremony in January 2024.

Revanth held a meeting at the MCRHRD Institute of Telangana with the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court, Alok Aradhe, and other officials to discuss the construction of the new High Court building.

During the meeting, the Chief Justice and lawyers highlighted the urgent need for a new building due to the deteriorating condition of the existing High Court building. They requested the CM to allocate sufficient funds for the construction, to which Revanth responded positively and ordered the officials to make the necessary arrangements.

The Chief Justice and lawyers also urged the CM to take steps towards constructing court complexes in the new districts. As the present High Court building is considered a heritage structure, the CM emphasized the importance of preserving it. Revanth assured that the existing building will be renovated and used for city courts or other court buildings.

The review meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Principal Secretary to CMO Seshadri, Collectors of Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts, IAS officer Navin Mittal, and other officials.
