All commercial establishments in the New Delhi police district will be closed from September 8 to 10 due to the G20 Summit. The Delhi Police had requested a public holiday and the closure of businesses in “controlled areas” during the summit.
The G20 Summit will take place in Delhi on September 9th and 10th at the new Convention Complex at Pragati Maidan. To ensure security, an ambulance control command center will be set up in Delhi from September 7th to 10th to monitor all ambulance operations. State holidays may also be declared in Delhi during the summit.
S. S. Yadav, Special Commissioner of Police, has asked the public to be patient and assured that the event will be well-organized, considering the needs of the people of Delhi. Traffic arrangements will be strictly enforced on the airport route in New Delhi, while other routes will have fewer restrictions. The Delhi Police is proud to have successfully organized similar events in the past.
