A new set of classrooms and conference spaces have been opened at Osmania University. The Department of Education’s newly developed complex was officially opened on Tuesday. Professor D Ravinder, the Vice Chancellor of OU, highlighted the importance of modern educational trends, innovative teaching strategies, teacher preparation programs, and research. He mentioned that good infrastructure is necessary to address these aspects. He also mentioned that funds from the National Mission were used to build the classrooms, with 60% contributed by the Centre and 40% by the State government.
Professor T Mrunalini, the Head of the Education Department, expressed her hope that thorough research would be conducted on teaching methods. She emphasized the need for a strong education system and appropriate infrastructure. She also wished for the modernization of elementary and secondary teaching methods.
