The Kashi Bugga temple, founded by Raja Raghu Ramji in 1822, is currently managed by Nanda Kumar. Despite being neglected for a long time, the temple has gained popularity due to its Stala Purana beliefs. The Sri Murali Manohar Swamy Temple within Kashi Bugga Temple is particularly significant because water continuously seeps near the Shiva Linga, believed to grant wishes and bring good luck to devotees.
Sridhar, a devotee from Patancheru, shared his experience of visiting the temple after hearing about it from his father. Initially, he found the temple in poor condition with no clear signs to guide visitors. However, improvements have been made since then, although parking remains a challenge for devotees. Access to the temple can also be through a footbridge across Musi from the Jiaguda area.
There was a proposal to build a high-foot bridge across Musi River from Jiaguda to the temple for easy access by devotees. However, the proposal was not implemented for unknown reasons, despite being surveyed and discussed with GHMC officials. The endowment department and GHMC officials cited political sensitivity as a reason for not pursuing the proposal, leaving devotees without proper amenities at the temple.
Overall, the State Endowment Department has been criticized for not fulfilling its role as trustees of the temple under the Hindu Charitable and Endowments Act. Instead, they have focused on making money through various pujas and services offered at the temple without addressing the basic needs of devotees.
