National Highway Project in Khammam Receives Rs 124 Crore Sanction from Centre

The Indian government has set aside Rs 124.80 crore for the development of the Khammam-Kuravi National Highway (YNH 365A). BRS MP Nama Nageswara Rao had previously met with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari multiple times to discuss the development of National Highways 365A. The government has approved the widening of the road into four lanes, dividers, and central lighting in several locations on the national highway.

The government has also given the go-ahead for the expansion of the road from Pedda Thanda Junction to Pallegudem on the Khammam-Kuravi National Highway. The Central government has allocated funds for the development works of the first package, with administrative sanction for Rs 57.52 crore already issued.

The Centre has also given the green light for works proposed in two other places along the same national highway, with orders for administrative sanction already issued. In the second package, the road from Venkatagiri Crossroad to Kodada Crossroad and from Edulapuram Junction to Pedda Tanda Junction has been widened into a four-lane road, with permission to install dividers and central lighting, and funding of Rs 67.28 crore granted.
