Telangana has received three national awards in the field of water. In recognition of its outstanding performance in the field of rural panchayats, Jagnnathapuram in Bhadradri Kothagudem district has been selected as the best gram panchayat in the country. Adilabad has secured the third position in the category of best districts. Maulana Azad National Urdu University in Hyderabad has been ranked as the second best institution in the Urdu university category. The awards will be presented by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu tomorrow in Delhi.

Hyderabad, June 15 (Namaste Telangana): Telangana is winning national awards. Several gram panchayats and cities in the state have already received national awards, and now, as recently announced by the Central Jal Shakti Department, Telangana has won three awards in the national water awards. The Jagnnathapuram gram panchayat in Bhadradri Kothagudem district has been chosen as the best gram panchayat in the country for its excellent water management practices. Adilabad has secured the third position in the category of best districts. Maulana Azad National Urdu University in Hyderabad has been ranked as the second best institution in the Urdu university category. In total, the government has announced 41 awards across 11 categories. Madhya Pradesh has been selected as the best state, and Ganjam in Odisha has been chosen as the best district.

The Jagnnathapuram gram panchayat in Bhadradri Kothagudem district has excelled as the best gram panchayat. Adilabad has secured the third position among the best districts. Maulana Azad National Urdu University in Hyderabad has been ranked as the second best institution in the Urdu university category. These awards will be presented by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on June 17 at the Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. The recipients will be awarded with certificates of appreciation, trophies, and cash prizes. The awards recognize their efforts in water conservation, river rejuvenation, and the Ganga river revival program since 2018.

As part of the Jal Sampann Bharat program, the government is announcing awards to recognize the best talents across the country. Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao expressed his happiness for Telangana’s recognition as the best in the country in terms of rural development and progress achieved through various programs implemented by Chief Minister KCR. He extended his congratulations to Jagnnathapuram gram panchayat, the parents’ category, and officials.
