Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Hyderabad on March 5 to inaugurate the country’s first ‘Griha-5’ standard building of the Civil Aviation Research Center (CARO). He will also dedicate an 800 MW thermal power plant built by NTPC in Adilabad on March 4.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy announced that the CARO, located at Begumpet Airport, will set international standards for research in civil aviation. This new center, developed under the Airports Authority of India, will focus on modern technological research in the aviation sector.

The CARO will house various research facilities including Airports and Air Navigation facilities, Simulators, Visualization & Analysis Labs, Surveillance Labs, Navigation Systems, Cyber Security Labs, and more. Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the center on March 5.

On March 4, Modi will dedicate the 800 MW NTPC Thermal Power Plant in Adilabad, which cost Rs 6,000 crore. This new plant will add to the total thermal power capacity in Telangana, meeting the electricity needs of the people.

Kishan Reddy mentioned that Modi had previously inaugurated an 800 MW thermal power plant in Nizamabad. The new thermal power plant in Adilabad will increase the total capacity to 1,600 MW, helping to provide quality power supply for domestic, commercial, and agricultural needs in Telangana.

Under the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project (TSTPP), plans are underway to establish thermal power plants with capacities of 1,600 MW in the first phase and 2,400 MW in the second phase in Ramagundam. Additionally, a 100 MW floating solar power plant is set to be installed in Ramagundam by 2022.
