Telugu Desam Party (TDP) general secretary Nara Lokesh has written a letter to the regional officer of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) requesting them not to certify the film ‘Vyooham’ directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Lokesh’s letter went viral on social media platforms on Thursday. He believes that the film is trying to influence voters in Andhra Pradesh on behalf of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, while also tarnishing the reputation of TDP national president and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
In the film, Naidu is portrayed as the mastermind behind the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation scam, while YS Jagan is depicted as innocent despite facing multiple cases from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED). Lokesh is urging the CBFC to refrain from giving a certificate for the public exhibition of the movie.
