Naini Responds to KTR's Criticism

Warangal: Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy responded strongly to the recent comments made by BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR). KTR had criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s government during a press conference in Hanumakonda. Naini, in turn, spoke to the press and criticized the BRS government, calling it a failure.

Naini argued that since the Congress took over the state’s leadership, it has been busy fixing the issues left behind by the BRS government. He pointed out that the BRS failed to keep several promises, such as providing three acres of land to Dalits, offering free education from kindergarten to post-graduation, and appointing a Dalit as the first Chief Minister of Telangana. He also accused BRS of forgetting about the Dalit Bandhu scheme after the Huzurabad by-election.

Naini further questioned whether the BRS Party Office, from where KTR addressed his press conference, had proper permissions from the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC). He also accused BRS leaders of disrupting the Musi Rejuvenation Project, a project initiated by the Congress government, by provoking local people.

Naini defended the Revanth government, stating it is unfair to criticize it since it hasn’t even completed a year in office. He challenged KTR to talk about the promises made by his father, KCR, when he was Chief Minister, specifically regarding Warangal’s development.

The MLA also questioned why the KCR government never revealed the findings of a comprehensive survey conducted during its rule. He expressed disappointment with the language used by KTR, who claims to be well-mannered.

Naini pointed out that many areas in Telangana did not develop as much as KTR’s Sircilla or Harish Rao’s Siddipet. He listed several projects Congress has been working on, including the revival of Mamnoor Airport, the construction of underground drainage in Warangal, and the completion of the railway overbridge (ROB) at Fathima Nagar, which had been delayed for over a decade under the BRS government.

He also criticized the BRS government for splitting Warangal into six districts without providing the necessary infrastructure and amenities. Naini assured that the people would see a “new” Warangal soon.

Several senior Congress leaders, including Boddireddy Prabhakar Reddy, Anand, Puli Anil, Jakkula Ravinder, Vijaysri Rajali, Pothula Sriman, Mamindla Raju, and Banka Sarala, were present during the press meet.
