Residents of Ayyappa colony in Nagole, along with those in Mamata Nagar, Venkata Ramana Colony, and Sai Ram Colony, face flooding every monsoon due to the overflowing of rainwater from the nearby nala and lack of proper drainage. In 2020, these residents suffered significant property damage from the flooding. Despite promises from local officials, no permanent solutions have been implemented. Encroachments on the Sai Nagar Lake bed have also contributed to the flooding. Concerned residents are frustrated by the lack of progress and feel that officials only care about their votes, not their welfare.
