Nagarkurnool: Traditional textbooks reintroduced

Textbooks meant for students at a government tribal ashram school were found in a scrap shop near Utla Koneru in Achampeta town of Nagarkarnool district. Some parents noticed that English medium books from class 6 to class 10 of the previous academic year were not being used and informed the police on Wednesday evening.

The police seized 45 bundles of books that were being sold at the scrap shop. According to the shop manager, Shankar, an employee of the District Tribal Development Officer (DTDO) office, sold these books. DTDO Kamalakar Reddy has asked for an explanation and promised to conduct a full investigation into why the books were diverted to the scrap shop. He plans to submit a report to the District Collector.

It is concerning that textbooks meant for students in need were not being used for their intended purpose. The authorities are taking this matter seriously and are determined to get to the bottom of why these books ended up in a scrap shop. This incident highlights the importance of ensuring that educational resources reach those who need them most.
