In a time when the country is divided along religious lines, a temple priest decided to help a Muslim family in need. The Chilkur Balaji temple, known for helping farmers in distress, gifted a bull to a farmer named Mohd Ghouse from Chilkur Village who had lost his farming bull to electrocution. The belief at the temple is that humanity transcends religion, caste, and creed.

A few years ago, the temple also gifted bulls to a farmer named Anjiah from Pedda Mangalaram village in Rangareddy district after he lost two buffaloes to electrocution. The Chief Priest of Chilkur Temple, C S Rangarajan, along with Goseva enthusiast Pavan Kumar, have been helping farmers across the state whose cattle have died due to various accidents.

Rangarajan mentioned that farmers consider their cattle as family members, and the death of these animals can lead to financial difficulties. He urged the public to participate in the ‘Gift a Cattle’ campaign to support farmers in distress. The temple has previously given a cow to a farmer from Siddipet and also provided bulls to farmers from neighboring villages.

The Chief Priest hopes that by encouraging others to participate in similar initiatives, more farmers can be helped during difficult times. The act of giving back to those in need is seen as a service to the Almighty at Chilkur Balaji temple.
