Musi River experiences high water levels

Intense rainfall in Hyderabad has caused the Moosi river to overflow. This has led to traffic jams on several routes, including the Moosi causeway in Pochampally, Bibinagar, and Valigonda mandals. To manage the heavy inflow, the Moosi project at Ketapalli has raised all three gates and released water downstream.

The water level at the project is currently at 642.0 feet, near its capacity of 645 feet. Inflows to the project have increased to 2,600 cusecs, while outflows have reached 4,310 cusecs to ensure controlled water release downstream.
