The temporary road built over Jampanna river in Kondai, Mulugu district has turned into a muddy mess due to recent rains. As a result, traffic has come to a halt. The contractor responsible for the road work, which cost Rs 20 lakh, only poured mud and did a poor job of constructing the road. When it rained, the road became completely swampy, making it impossible for vehicles to pass through. Villagers are angry at the authorities for allowing such a situation to occur due to contractors poorly constructing roads in the past, including a bridge that was washed away during floods.
