Muchintal to host Samatha Kumbh-2024 celebrations in Hyderabad with diverse array of activities

A press conference was held by Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy on Wednesday to announce the activities planned for the Samatha Kumbh-2024 celebrations. One of the activities is the Sri Ramayana Global Contest, which is open for anyone to participate. The second session of the celebrations will be held next year at the statue of equality at Muchintal. Various programs have been planned, including the Ramayana Global Contest, an international conference on equality, peace, and sustainability.

Starting from October 15, special sevas (services) will begin at Divyadesas. Many devotees are interested in offering seva to the 108 Divyadesas, which will be open from 11 am till night. The Divyadesas are getting ready to accept various Prabhatha sevas (morning services) from interested individuals who seek blessings for good education, good health, and prosperity. The sevas include Suprabhatha seva at 5:30 am, abhishekams, homams, and ashtothara pujas in various Divyadesas.

Regarding the Ramayana Global Contest, Chinna Jeeyar stated that it aims to make citizens aware of the original text of the Ramayana written by Sage Valmiki. The contest is not about winning or losing but about increasing knowledge of the Ramayana beyond what is seen on TV. Participants will have access to the original text in English, Hindi, and Telugu languages. The Ramayana is a powerful behavioral science that provides practical techniques for a purposeful and powerful life.

Registration for the contest will begin on September 21. Daily practice questions will be uploaded on the website for participants. The competition will be conducted online until the semi-finals, with the grand finale taking place on February 24 at the statue of equality. The target audience for the contest is children and youth, who have the opportunity to win prizes worth Rs 9 lakh.

In addition to the contest, there will be an international conference on equality, peace, and sustainability. Reputed scholars from around the world will share their research on these concepts in a global perspective. The conference is scheduled for February 2, 3, and 4.
