After the meeting, MP Raghuveer Reddy expressed optimism, stating that the Minister showed great interest in the proposal and assured him that the matter would be carefully examined. The MP highlighted that Nagarjuna Sagar and Buddhavanam have immense potential to become world-class tourist attractions. He emphasized that the proposed funding would help showcase Telangana’s rich cultural and historical heritage on an international stage.

The MP explained that Nagarjuna Sagar, known for its breathtaking scenic beauty and historical significance, already attracts a large number of visitors. Key attractions such as the Ethipothala Waterfalls, Nagarjuna Konda, and Buddha Purnima celebrations make it a vibrant destination for both domestic and international tourists.

Buddhavanam, a unique thematic park dedicated to Buddhist heritage, was also highlighted as a significant project with global appeal. The MP noted that it could draw tourists from countries like Japan, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia, fostering cultural exchange and pilgrimage tourism.

The proposed development plans include improving roads, pedestrian pathways, and accessibility to major attractions. The MP also suggested eco-friendly accommodations, restaurants, and souvenir shops, along with the introduction of boating, light-and-sound shows, and guided heritage tours. Additionally, he emphasized the need for tourist information centers, cultural interpretation hubs, and national and international campaigns to promote these destinations.

These developments aim to enhance the tourism potential of Telangana, making it a preferred destination for travelers worldwide.
