Hyderabad: The number of Rubath seats for Haj pilgrims under the Azizia category has been increased from 543 to 710 this year. This change brings relief to pilgrims, as Rubath accommodations offer free lodging in Makkah during the Haj season.
Telangana MLC Amer Ali Khan, during his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, held discussions with local authorities responsible for managing the Rubath buildings. These accommodations are specifically for Haj pilgrims from areas that were once part of the Nizam-ruled Hyderabad State.
Following meetings with Hussain Al Shareef, the Nazir of Rubath, the MLC announced that out of the total 710 seats, 45 have been reserved for pilgrims from specific regions. These include four districts in Karnataka, eight districts in Maharashtra, and the entire state of Telangana.
Expressing gratitude to Hussain Al Shareef, the MLC credited him for playing a key role in increasing the seat count. “This will help each pilgrim save approximately Rs 50,000,” said Amer Ali Khan. The expanded capacity is expected to provide significant financial relief to many pilgrims this year.
