Mohammed Siraj Credits Hard Work During Covid-19 Lockdown for Achieving Peak Form Ahead of IPL 2023

Mohammed Siraj, a pacer for India and Royal Challengers Bangalore, credited his success in IPL 2023 to the hard work he put in during the Covid-19 lockdown. Siraj achieved his career-best figures with 4/21 against Punjab Kings in Mohali, leading his team to a 24-run win. He emerged as one of the most impressive bowlers in international cricket across formats and was ranked the No. 1 ODI bowler earlier this year.

Siraj said that the lockdown was essential for him as he worked on his gym training and bowling, which helped him improve. He maintained his rhythm and confidence in ODIs and brought that into IPL 2023. Siraj also tries to improve in every aspect to remain a part of the team.

Virat Kohli, RCB’s captain, said that the pitch at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium was challenging to bat on. He added that winning a game does not make them an invincible team, and the table cannot define their mood when they have played just five or six games. Kohli also talked about their strategy to bat deeper and how their fielding was brilliant. The idea was to take the game to the opposition in the first six overs, break the game open, and win by taking wickets.
