Modi criticizes Congress government in Rajasthan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at a public rally in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, addressing several issues. He mentioned that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has already admitted defeat by asking him not to scrap the welfare schemes started by the Congress in the state. Modi guaranteed that the BJP will not discontinue any of these schemes if they come into power. He also stated that the BJP will contest the upcoming assembly election using their party symbol, the lotus.

Before his speech at the rally, Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 7,200 crore in Rajasthan. He also visited the Sanwaliya temple to offer prayers. Various leaders, including former chief minister Vasundhara Raje and Union minister Arjun Meghwal, were present at the rally.

Gehlot had recently demanded a guarantee from Modi that the Congress government’s welfare schemes will not be discontinued if the BJP wins in the state. In response, Modi stated that Gehlot knows the countdown for the Congress government has begun. Modi assured that the BJP will not stop any scheme of public interest but will instead work to improve them.

Modi also criticized the Gehlot government for corruption and women’s safety issues. He expressed his concern about atrocities against daughters and accused the Congress of making it a tradition in Rajasthan. Modi promised that the paper leak mafia in the state will be held accountable and given severe punishment.

Furthermore, Modi referred to the brutal murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur last year and questioned whether the people of Rajasthan voted for the Congress to witness such incidents. He criticized the Congress for prioritizing votes over such heinous acts.
