Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Secunderabad on Saturday and showed his support for the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi. He assured the gathering that the government would fight for justice in the legal battle for categorisation of Scheduled Castes. Modi also announced that a committee would be formed to find ways to empower the Madiga community.

Modi referred to a famous Telugu poet, Gurram Jashua, who wrote about a Dalit expressing his grievances to Baba Viswanath of Kashi. Modi said he was glad to be present and listen to the concerns of the Madiga community. He acknowledged the community’s fight for categorisation and vowed to end the injustice as soon as possible.

Modi criticized the Congress party for not allowing B R Ambedkar to win elections and for neglecting his picture in Parliament. He mentioned that it was only after the BJP supported government came into power that Ambedkar was honored with the Bharat Ratna. Modi apologized on behalf of other political parties who had promised justice but failed to deliver.

Taking a dig at the BRS government, Modi accused them of not fulfilling their promise of making a Dalit the Chief Minister. He also criticized the Congress party, stating that they were no different from BRS in their treatment of Dalits.

Overall, Modi’s speech demonstrated his support for the Madiga community and his commitment to fighting for their rights.
