MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha Criticizes CM Revanth Reddy Over Farmers’ Issues

MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha took a strong stand against CM Revanth Reddy, accusing him of negligence that led to the central forces taking control of the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam’s left canal. She argued that this has deprived Telangana farmers of much-needed irrigation water. Speaking at a press meet in Bhongir, Kavitha demanded that the state government urgently reclaim control of the dam.

Kavitha further alleged that Congress policies, aimed at erasing Chief Minister KCR’s legacy, have caused significant agricultural damage. She claimed that 3.3 lakh acres of farmland under the Kaleshwaram project and 1.2 lakh acres under the Nagarjuna Sagar project have gone dry as a result of these policies.

The MLC urged the public to apply for government welfare schemes like Rythu Bharosa and Indiramma housing. She also encouraged people to hold Congress leaders accountable if they are denied these benefits.

Kavitha accused Congress of misusing funds meant for the rejuvenation of the Musi River. Additionally, she criticized Congress leaders Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy, claiming they failed to secure even a single medical college for Nalgonda district. She warned Congress leaders against targeting BRS offices, emphasizing the strength of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

Highlighting the achievements of CM KCR, Kavitha praised his efforts in transforming Nalgonda into a fluoride-free district. She also raised concerns about delays in implementing the women’s Rs 2,500 allowance scheme, urging the government to address the issue promptly.

Earlier in the day, Kavitha visited the Yadagirigutta temple, where she performed Giri Pradakshina and expressed her devotion to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.
