Jagtial: Former minister, senior Congress leader, and MLC T Jeevan Reddy raised questions about the Central government’s role in waiving loans. “Is the responsibility of waiving loans solely on a state? Does the Central government have no responsibility?” he asked, criticizing the BJP-led administration.
Jeevan Reddy compared the current government to the previous UPA regime, emphasizing that back then, the Central government took charge of loan waivers. He accused the current government of shirking its duties in this regard.
Speaking at Indira Bhavan in Jagtial on Sunday, Jeevan Reddy congratulated the state on successfully completing one year under Congress rule. He praised the welfare initiatives implemented by the state government and appreciated its efforts to improve the lives of its citizens.
He also urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to focus on setting up a Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Agricultural Science Center) in Jagtial. Jeevan Reddy highlighted that the responsibility for establishing and managing such a center lies entirely with the Central government.
