Rural Infrastructure Development
The MLA shared that ₹30 crore was allocated under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) for constructing roads and drains in villages and mandals. Additionally, ₹10 crore from the Special Development Fund was used for improving internal roads in mandal headquarters and municipalities.

Improving Educational Facilities
In the education sector, ₹14 crore has been spent on constructing Amma Adarsha Patashalas, while ₹64 crore was allocated for renovating government schools and colleges, including those attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Plans are also underway to establish a ₹150-crore Young India Integrated School to improve educational opportunities in the district.

Healthcare Enhancements
To address healthcare needs, the state government sanctioned a ₹202-crore, 502-bed Government General Hospital. This facility is expected to complement the existing medical college and provide advanced healthcare services to the residents of Wanaparthy.

Housing for the Poor
Under the state government’s housing scheme, 5,300 houses have been secured. Furthermore, ₹19.25 crore has been allocated for the construction of Indiramma houses, offering much-needed shelter to underprivileged families.

Positioning Wanaparthy as an IT Hub
Efforts are being made to establish Wanaparthy as an IT hub. The government has sanctioned ₹22 crore for constructing an IT Hub, with the foundation stone set to be laid soon by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. This initiative is expected to attract IT investments and generate job opportunities for local residents.

Upcoming Infrastructure Projects
Several significant infrastructure projects are in the pipeline. These include ₹81 crore for a new Court Complex, ₹42 crore for doubling the Wanaparthy to Pedda Mandadi road, and ₹40 crore for Panchayat Raj road works. Proposals have also been submitted for a Navodaya School and a Krishi Vigyan Kendra research center to further enhance the district’s development.

Support for Farmers
Farmers have received ₹1.6 crore in relief for crop damages caused by rains. Additionally, ₹50 crore has been invested in new transformers and power lines to support agriculture. Under Congress-led initiatives, farmers are benefiting from free electricity up to 200 units, a ₹500 incentive for producing fine paddy, and the Rythu Bharosa scheme, which will begin providing funds directly to farmers’ accounts from Sankranti.

Congress Guarantees Fulfilled
Thudi Mega Reddy proudly stated that 95% of Congress’s six guarantees have been fulfilled. These include free bus travel for women, subsidized cooking gas at ₹500, and farm loan waivers totaling ₹25,000 crore across the state. Plans are also in motion to increase old-age pensions from ₹2,000 to ₹4,000 and distribute new ration cards with fine rice supply.

Vision for Wanaparthy
The MLA envisions making Wanaparthy the top district in Telangana. Plans include setting up a ₹100-crore sports university, expanding healthcare and education facilities, and developing superior infrastructure. With support from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress government, Thudi Mega Reddy aims to bring transformative changes to the district in the coming years.
