MLA Sri Ganesh took an important step to support women’s welfare by distributing cheques worth Rs 33 lakh to 33 women at his camp office. This was done under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme, which helps families with the financial costs of marriage for girls in the Cantonment constituency. Each beneficiary received Rs 33,03,828.
The Kalyana Lakshmi scheme is a part of the Congress government’s efforts to empower women and make them more independent. MLA Sri Ganesh stressed that the government is committed to helping women by providing financial support through various schemes like this one, which makes it easier for families to celebrate weddings without worrying about money.
The women who received the cheques thanked the Congress government, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and MLA Sri Ganesh for their support. This initiative not only helps reduce the financial burden on families but also gives young women a sense of empowerment as they prepare for marriage.
