Nagarkurnool: MLA Dr. Kuchukulla Rajesh Reddy stressed that protecting the environment is a responsibility everyone shares. He urged people to join tree-planting efforts.
Dr. Rajesh Reddy spoke at the Swachhdhanam-Pachhdhanam program in the 18th Ward of the district center. As the chief guest, he planted saplings with local women. He explained that the trees planted today will give oxygen to future generations. He reminded everyone how important oxygen was during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The MLA encouraged planting trees during birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations. He also talked about keeping the surroundings clean. He advised against throwing household waste outside carelessly.
Clean surroundings are crucial for good health. Dirty environments can lead to mosquitoes and flies, which cause diseases like dengue and malaria.
Dr. Rajesh Reddy urged everyone to plant trees and keep their surroundings clean. As part of the program, two borewells were installed in the 18th Ward.
The event was attended by councilors Jakka Raju, Sunendra, Kavali Srinu, Nizam, Badam Ramesh, Sultan, Padmamma, and Bachanna Yadav. Youth Congress leaders Harish Goud, Konda Nagesh, Papamma, and many local residents also participated.
