Grand Celebrations Mark Sri Sant Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti in Narayanpet

The 286th birth anniversary of Sri Sant Sevalal Maharaj was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Saturday. The Telangana government officially organized the event across various mandals under the Narayanpet constituency.

The celebrations were led by the Sevalal Jayanti Celebration Committee and saw active participation from the community. Narayanpet MLA Dr. Chittem Parnika Reddy attended as the chief guest, adding to the significance of the occasion.

The event began with a massive rally in Narayanpet district headquarters. The state government, along with the Sevalal Jayanti Celebration Committee, organized the rally to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Banjara community. Before it started, Narayanpet Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) Ramachander Rao conducted special prayers at Barambavi and officially inaugurated the procession.

After the rally, MLA Parnika Reddy visited several places to take part in the Jayanti festivities. She attended celebrations in Buddammari Tanda (Dhanwada mandal), Vattu Gundla Tanda (Damaragidda mandal), and various tandas in Koyilkonda mandal. The Banjara community warmly welcomed her at each location, expressing their gratitude for her support.

A highlight of the celebrations was MLA Parnika Reddy’s participation in traditional Banjara dance performances. Dressed in colorful Banjara attire, she joined Lambada and Banjara women in their cultural dance, which was met with loud applause and appreciation from the attendees.

Speaking at the event, MLA Parnika Reddy stressed the importance of Sant Shri Sevalal Maharaj’s teachings. She mentioned how his wisdom continues to inspire the Banjara community and guide them towards progress and unity. She extended her best wishes to the community and assured them that the Congress-led government is committed to their welfare.

The MLA also criticized the previous government for neglecting tribal tandas for the past decade. She pointed out the lack of basic infrastructure in these settlements and promised that the Congress government would bring significant improvements. She assured the people that efforts would be made to provide essential facilities, improve connectivity, and uplift the tandas in every possible way.

The celebrations saw the participation of prominent Banjara leaders, Congress party representatives, and a large number of community members. The event was a fitting tribute to Sant Shri Sevalal Maharaj and his lasting legacy.
