The Delhi Government’s Directorate of Education has launched “Mission Mathematics” to help students overcome their fear of math. As part of this initiative, Education Minister Atishi inaugurated a two-day exhibition called “Maths is Fun” at Thyagraj Stadium. The exhibition showcased various teaching and learning materials aimed at making math more engaging and enjoyable for students.

The exhibition featured Mathematics Games, Learning with Fun, Magical Boxes, Magic Book, Geo Board, Math Magic, Geometrical Park, Math in Seconds, and Strings. These materials help teachers explain complex topics to students and enhance their understanding. The Mathematics TLM Competition was also held at different levels, including primary, middle, secondary, and senior secondary categories.

The Kejriwal government has been working on improving Delhi government schools for eight years, focusing on issues like infrastructure and sanitation. Under CM Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, the Delhi government has allocated 25% of its budget to education, which is the highest among all states in India.

The Education Minister emphasized the importance of making math enjoyable for children, as many of them fear the subject. The goal is to make math as enjoyable as singing, dancing, and other art forms. It is crucial to ensure that children grasp the concepts at an early age to prevent absenteeism in schools. The Minister expressed pride in the high quality of classroom teaching in Delhi government schools.

Overall, the “Mission Mathematics” initiative and the exhibition aim to create a positive and engaging environment for math learning in Delhi government schools.
