Former Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy criticized Congress leaders for their lack of knowledge, saying they had failed in their responsibilities.

Speaking to the media in Hanumakonda on Wednesday, he pointed out mistakes made by Congress Ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. The ministers visited the Devannapet pumphouse to release water from the third phase of the Chokka Rao Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme. However, because no one had maintained the motors, they were unable to release the water.

Peddi stated that the previous BRS government had completed 95% of the third phase of the Devadula project. Despite this, Congress did not take steps to run the motors regularly. As a result, they stopped working.

He also mentioned that the Devadula scheme requires ₹7 crore per year for maintenance. However, Congress failed to provide the necessary funds and had to pay a penalty.

Peddi further claimed that the water level in Sammakka Sagar barrage was around 76 meters, yet the ministers falsely stated that there was no water. He assured that there was enough water to save standing crops.

Former KUDA chairman Marri Yadava Reddy, Thallapally Janardhan Goud, Puli Rajanikanth, and Jorika Ramesh were also present at the event.
