Ministers in Hyderabad greeted with enthusiastic cheers as they take oath

Close to 100,000 people have gathered at L B Stadium in Hyderabad for the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The ceremony saw the appointment of Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Seethakka, and Konda Surekha as Ministers. The crowd, mostly from East Telangana, cheered loudly as each Minister took their oath.

The crowd was particularly enthusiastic for Seethakka and Ponguleti, causing Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to pause during the oath administration. Many people traveled over 100 km to attend the event, including followers of Konda Surekha from Warangal who praised her contribution to the formation of Telangana.

Young Congress party workers, who played an active role in the party’s successful political campaign during the Assembly polls, flooded into the city from different parts of the State. They were joined by associates and admirers of the newly elected MLAs. Despite the loss of one of their top leaders, Jagga Reddy, supporters celebrated the victory of their MLA, P Sanjeeva Reddy, from Narayankhed constituency.

The crowd became uncontrollable during Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s address. Youngsters rushed towards him for distant selfies. The swelling crowds also broke through the fencing to greet and take selfies with the new Ministers. Admirers of Komatireddy Venkat Reddy even chased after him for a selfie, despite his bodyguard’s efforts to protect him.
