State Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced plans to make Husnabad constituency a model in all aspects in Telangana. He conducted a review meeting at the Husnabad RDO office in Siddipet district on Friday.
During the five-hour meeting, Minister Prabhakar discussed various departments such as Mission Bhagiratha, Irrigation, R&B, Panchayat Raj, Tribal Welfare, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Electricity, and DRDA.
He emphasized the need for officials to take proactive steps to address public issues, especially since the terms of Sarpanchs, MPTCs, MPPs, and ZPTCs have ended. The minister urged officials to ensure that schemes from the Central and State governments reach the poor in the handloom and agriculture sectors.
Minister Prabhakar instructed officials to assess road conditions, drinking water systems, and irrigation projects in the constituency. He also highlighted the significant tribal population in Husnabad and pledged to implement measures for their welfare.
Plans were discussed to establish cottage industries to generate employment opportunities for unemployed tribal members. Additionally, officials were directed to document government lands within the constituency and create a land bank to prevent illegal occupation.
The minister assured that he would allocate funds for proposed development projects and urged officials to expedite ongoing works. He promised to address any issues brought to his attention and expressed his commitment to improving irrigation facilities for Husnabad farmers through various projects.
The meeting was attended by Collectors from Siddipet, Karimnagar, and Hanmakonda Districts.
