The Hyderabad district in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has issued a warning to officials for any negligence in organizing arrangements for the upcoming Bonalu Festival at Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad. The festival is set to take place from July 7, with a review meeting held specifically for the Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahankali Jatara scheduled for July 21 and 22.

During the meeting, authorities were instructed to have all arrangements completed at all temples in the city by July 5. The festival will include Bonalu and Ammavari darshan programs on July 21, followed by a procession of Ammavaru and Rangam and Dhwajarohana Mahotsavam on July 22 at 9 am.

This year, a large number of devotees are expected to attend from across the state due to the free bus facility offered through the Maha Lakshmi scheme. Minister Prabhakar emphasized the importance of completing appropriate arrangements and highlighted the longstanding tradition of offering ‘Bonam’ to Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Ammavaru dating back to 1830 in Secunderabad.
