Mickey Arthur is returning to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as the men’s team director. He previously served as Pakistan’s head coach between 2016 and 2019, leading them to No.1 rankings in Tests and T20Is, as well as a victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. In his new role, Arthur will be involved in designing and overseeing strategies for the men’s team, coaching them during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, and preparing for away tours to Australia and home series against the West Indies. He will also be present with the team during their matches against India in the ACC Asia Cup. Arthur hopes to help the talented Pakistani players reach their full potential and become the best across all formats. Chairman of PCB Management Committee Najam Sethi said Arthur will also be responsible for grooming future stars to increase the bench strength of the national team.
