Meta’s new App Threads will delete Your Instagram account

Mark Zuckerberg recently launched Meta’s New  app, ‘Threads,’ which is intended to replace Elon Musk’s Twitter. Twitter is now at BackBurner, threatening its operation due to millions of signups for the new app. The reason could be Twitter’s daily post visibility limitations.

Threads was expected to be the icing on the cake due to its similar functionality to Instagram. So the users went ahead and established their digital presence there, unsure of what would be jeopardized. The Threads App is designed with features that cannot be resumed or changed, so users who wish to exit the App are compelled not to do so because doing so will result in the deletion of their Instagram account.

Threads, like any other social networking platform, has account deactivation functions that can only disable an individual’s post in the app. However, because the data is linked to the users’ Instagram accounts, it will remain on Meta’s servers. Like on Instagram, the posts from the account can be deleted one by one.

Meta has addressed the issue and is currently taking the necessary steps to allow users to delete their Threads account without losing their Instagram account. The features of both Instagram and Threads need to be changed in the hope of restoring regular social functionality and Digital Presence due to the notable inability to view posts from followed accounts.
