The Congress party has appointed senior leader Meenakshi Natarajan as the new in-charge of Telangana Congress. She replaces Deepa Dasmunshi, who has been relieved from her duties with immediate effect.
Reports suggest that the Congress high command was not satisfied with Dasmunshi’s performance. She had been facing allegations, and a group of Telangana Congress leaders had recently complained about her to the party leadership.
Meenakshi Natarajan has a long history in politics. She started her career as a leader in the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI). Over the years, she has held various positions in the Youth Congress and the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
State Minister for Forest, Environment, and Endowments, K Surekha, welcomed her appointment. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and TPCC Working President B Mahesh Kumar Goud, both the Telangana government and the Congress party are serving the people effectively. He expressed confidence that with Meenakshi Natarajan’s support, the party’s momentum will grow even stronger.
