South Central Railway (SCR) is working hard to improve safety at level crossings in the area. They are raising awareness among road users, and they are also making plans to replace manned level crossings with safer options like Road Under Bridges (RuBs), Road Over Bridges (RoBs), and Limited Height Subways (LHS). In the last financial year, they replaced 80 manned crossings, and they plan to eliminate even more this year.
SCR is taking part in International Level Crossing Awareness Day on June 15 to raise awareness about safety issues. They will be organizing campaigns, checks, and performances to encourage people to be safe around level crossings. They are also putting up warning signs and conducting awareness campaigns to remind people about the importance of following safety rules when crossing the tracks.
SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain is urging road users and drivers to be careful and follow the rules when approaching level crossings. He reminds them that their actions can have serious consequences, and he encourages everyone to work together to improve safety in the area.
