Hyderabad: Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has stressed the importance of identifying and solving issues faced by residents at the local level. On Wednesday, she conducted a field visit to various areas in the Balanagar and Allapur wards of the Kukatpally zone.
During her visit, the Mayor closely examined the conditions in these areas and interacted with community members to understand their concerns. She directed officials to take immediate steps to resolve these problems without any delay.
The Mayor highlighted ongoing efforts to address these issues and emphasized that the city’s development, especially infrastructure improvements, is a top priority. In Balanagar Division, she visited Vinayaka Nagar and Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, where she inspected a nala and the GHMC Park. She recommended regular de-silting of the nala to ensure it functions effectively.
To ensure safety, officials were instructed to implement preventive measures to avoid accidents in the area. Entomology teams were tasked with conducting fogging operations in parks, ponds, and nearby locations to maintain proper sanitation. They were also directed to carry out anti-larvae activities door-to-door. Additionally, preparations were ordered for planting saplings in open spaces within GHMC Park.
Residents of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar raised concerns about severe traffic problems in their locality. They requested the replacement of an old bridge and installation of new structures where streetlights were not functioning properly. In response, the Mayor asked engineering officials to draft proposals to address these pressing issues.
