Mayor Highlights Infrastructure Development in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor, Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the city’s infrastructure. She stated that special attention is being given to upgrading roads, parks, and other facilities to enhance the quality of life for residents.
On Wednesday, the Mayor launched several development projects worth ₹80 lakh in Banjara Hills. She mentioned that funds have been allocated to improve both major and internal roads in the city. The goal is to complete these upgrades quickly, making them more accessible and convenient for the public. She also stressed the importance of ensuring that the roads are durable and long-lasting.
As part of the initiative, the Mayor officially inaugurated a newly renovated park in Prem Nagar, located in the Banjara Hills division. She emphasized the importance of parks in promoting public health and well-being. The city is focusing on developing walking tracks, green spaces, and recreational areas to encourage outdoor activities. She urged residents to make full use of these facilities.
The Mayor assured that Hyderabad’s development is progressing in a systematic manner. Infrastructure improvements are being carried out strategically across different areas to benefit all residents.
The event was attended by local public representatives, Deputy Commissioner Prashanthi, GHMC officials, colony residents, and others.
