Mandanlal's attempts at gaining support in Wyra prove unsuccessful

In Wyra Assembly, the BRS candidate, former MLA Mandanlal, faced difficulties connecting with voters and party leaders. This led to discontent within the party ranks, and some leaders switched to the Congress party in a ceremony attended by Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. BRS chief KCR’s decision to choose Mandanlal over sitting MLA L Ramulu Naik did not produce the expected results, as Mandanlal failed to inspire confidence among both voters and leaders in the constituency.

Recent additions to the party leadership recognized that the party’s influence in the constituency was declining. This created an opportunity for Congress MLA Ramdas Naik to gain support from voters. Naik intensified his campaign and received traction and sympathy from voters across the constituency. Despite Mandanlal’s political experience and past success as an MLA, he struggled to effectively convey BRS schemes, manifestos, and development initiatives during his campaign. A senior BRS leader, speaking anonymously, acknowledged that Mandanlal’s inability to coordinate and articulate the party’s vision decreased their chances of winning in the constituency.
