    Man Arrested for Harassing TV Artiste in Hyderabad

    The Jubilee Hills police have arrested a 32-year-old man named Phani Teja for harassing and threatening a TV junior artiste. The incident occurred on Thursday, leading to swift action by the authorities.

    The victim, a woman originally from West Godavari, had moved to Krishna Nagar to pursue her career in television serials. Her work brought her into contact with Phani Teja, who also worked in the film industry.

    During a shoot, the two became friends. However, things took a turn when Phani Teja expressed his romantic interest in her. After she rejected his proposal, he became angry and started harassing her.

    Phani Teja reportedly sent the woman abusive messages and videos. He also threatened to upload morphed pictures of her on social media, causing significant distress to the TV artiste.

    Unable to tolerate the harassment, the woman approached the police and lodged a complaint. Acting on her report, the Jubilee Hills police arrested Phani Teja.

    Following his arrest, Phani Teja was presented in court. Subsequently, the court sent him to judicial custody. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
