A man in Hyderabad killed his brother-in-law over a financial dispute on Sunday. The incident occurred in Vattepally, which falls under the Mailardevpally police station limits.
The victim, Mohammed Saif, also known as Saber, was 30 years old. He lived with his wife, three daughters, and a son. Saif had lent Rs 1 lakh to Ismail, his brother-in-law, a year ago. Ismail, who works as an auto driver, did not repay the loan, which led to ongoing disagreements between them.
On Saturday night, Saif called Ismail to discuss the issue. They met in Shama Colony, near Saif’s house. Ismail then led Saif a little distance away and suddenly attacked him. According to ACP P Srinivas of Rajendranagar, Ismail picked up a boulder from the road and threw it at Saif. The blow caused serious injuries, and Saif died on the spot.
The police were informed about the incident and arrived at the scene. They moved Saif’s body to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and Ismail has been arrested. He is currently being questioned by the police.
