Man Claims Assault by TDP MLA's Supporters in Dispute Over Sand Mafia

A man from Srikakulam district has accused supporters of a local politician of attacking him. The incident took place in the Amadalavalasa constituency. The man, named Sanapala Suresh, said he was targeted because he opposed the illegal transport of sand.

Suresh explained that the trouble started when he tried to stop sand smuggling near Ragolu. While he was trying to leave the area quickly, two people got injured. Later, at Balaga Junction, his car was stopped again by the attackers.

According to Suresh, the attackers broke the windows of his car and caused more damage. He claimed that the supporters of TDP MLA Kunna Ravi Kumar were responsible for the assault because he stood against the illegal sand trade.

The local police are looking into the incident. So far, no further details have been shared about the injuries or the damage caused.
