Hyderabad: The Film Nagar police have arrested a 34-year-old man for allegedly masturbating in public at two different places in Tolichowki and Shaikpet. The incidents occurred near the Health and Glow store in Aziz Bagh and near an International School in Shaikpet.
The man, identified as Bhuthkuri Ramesh, works as a chef at Jelly Belly Food Pvt Ltd and lives in Shaikpet. He is originally from Sriramula Pally village in Karimnagar district. Police have registered two cases against him under Sections 296 and 79 BNS within 24 hours.
The police received a complaint from the manager of the Health and Glow store in Aziz Bagh. According to the complaint, on October 16, Ramesh arrived on a bike at the store’s parking lot and began masturbating while watching the women staff.
It was later discovered that Ramesh had committed a similar act earlier near a bus stop by the International School in Shaikpet. This led to a second case being filed against him.
The police investigated both cases by reviewing CCTV footage from the areas. After identifying Ramesh, they arrested him.
Vijay Kumar SM, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of the West Zone, said that during interrogation, Ramesh admitted to committing the acts. He explained that his wife had been away for six months, and he had developed an addiction to watching porn. This addiction, according to the DCP, led to his inappropriate behavior in public.
The police also checked Ramesh’s mobile phone and found that his browsing history was filled with pornographic content. The arrested man, along with the evidence, has been presented in court for judicial remand.
