Hyderabad: Malakjgiri MP Eatala Rajender has demanded the immediate withdrawal of the circular that bans protests at Osmania University. He also called for the unconditional release of the students who were arrested during the protests.
Eatala pointed out that Osmania University has been a center for many important movements. He reminded everyone that students played a key role in the formation of Telangana State.
He stressed that protesting is a basic right of students and should not be taken away. He also recalled that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao tried to suppress protests in the past, which eventually led to his downfall.
Eatala warned that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy could face similar consequences if he continues on this path. He urged the government to immediately withdraw the circular and release the arrested students without any conditions.
